April 14 was a busy day! So busy that I almost forgot to snap a picture of my 11-month old! He had his pajamas on and was ready for bed before I remembered! I feel like my little boy is turning into a toddler and isn't so much a baby anymore. After a week and a half of struggling naps we are now for the most part back on a 2-nap schedule. I decided to not let him sleep more than an hour and a half during his morning nap and that seems to have helped in that he will take an afternoon nap also. He's sleeping 11-12 hours at night and is a pretty good eater. He loves to feed himself but does a good job of letting us feed him the messy foods (for now)! Yogurt is one of his favorite foods along with any kind of snack he can feed himself!
Here's a few things I want to remember at this age:
*He has 6 teeth (3 on top, 3 on bottom)
*He is walking all over
*He does "so big" really well
*He gives high fives!
*He knows to stick his tongue out when you ask him where his tongue is!
*He says mamama, dadada, bababa and knows how to do raspberries!
*He knows to get down on his hands and knees to climb down the step into our family room
Can't believe we'll be celebrating a 1-year birthday in a few short weeks. We are so thankful for this healthy little boy!

My New Vacuum
My vacuum literally went out with a bang! I was using it one Sunday afternoon and a loud POP woke the dog up and had me diving for cover. The poor thing died after 9 years. It was my first "real" vacuum I purchased after college. So the hunt was on for the new vacuum. Chris made me research and since we have the dog and a baby on the floor a lot I decided to go with the highly acclaimed Dyson DC 25 All Floors model. Best Buy price-matched a price we found online so we picked it up last weekend.
When we were in the store looking at it to make sure it was what I wanted Simon could not keep his hands off of it. And now that we have it home he still loves to push it around the floor. And may I just say that I LOVE THIS VACUUM! It is amazing! It vacuums my rugs without eating them and I no longer have to stand on the rug and pull the vacuum the other way to get them clean. Plus I can vacuum my entire stairway while the vacuum stays at the bottom of the stairs. AMAZING! I love vacuuming even more now! Who knew that was possible?! (Yes, Chris makes fun of me!)

LOVE for Dad
Chris was working outside this weekend and Simon was so upset he couldn't go outside too. (It was too cold and damp.) So we did the next best thing and opened the front door so he could watch which he loved! Chris would take breaks and come over to wave which was really cute. Dads have such a cool relationship with their sons - it is so fun to watch!
