Kitchen Mischief

Simon knows where to find trouble when I am working in the kitchen! If the pantry door is cracked he will get it open and start pulling things off the shelves. He is strong and can pull heavy pans out of my cupboards faster than I expect. I love cooking and baking in my kitchen so we will probably spend a lot of time together there. I look forward to when we can bake cookies together!

Raiding the pantry!

At least he got the good stuff - Girl Scout cookies and taco chips!

Deep Down in the Toy Basket...

There is a toy that I really need to get so the basket will be empty.....

But I can't quite reach it and I'm trying so hard that I'm starting to fall in....

Mom, would you please stop taking pictures of my misfortune and help me?!!!

A Little Breakfast Reading

Why do babies love paper so much?! I love that it entertains him but hate that he will eat it.

It was fun to hide and play peek-a-boo with, too!

Impromptu Trip to the Cabin

Our weekend plans fell through at the last minute so we decided to head to the cabin last weekend. The weather was beautiful and it was a nice change of scenery. I got to work on my scrapbooking, Chris did some reading and relaxing and Simon enjoyed the fresh mountain air. My parents were there also which allowed Chris and I to get some time to relax.

Here's a few pics from the weekend!

10 Months Already?!

It's hard to fathom that Simon has now been with us longer than I carried him. Each day brings a new sound or expression and it is so much fun! I think it's safe to say he's walking now. He's not exclusively walking but definitely can walk across the room if he wants. He feeds himself Puffs and Cheerios extremely well and is a good eater. Simon sleeps almost 12 hours at night and still struggles with long naps but he seems to be a pretty happy kid most of the time. Some of the things I will remember about him at 10 months are:

* How he plays peek-a-boo

* Starting to do "soo big"

* His love for books, especially "texture" books

* His funny giggle when he's tickled or chased around the house

* Playing the piano (i.e. pounding)
