Simon loves to sing Jesus Loves Me or in his case Yes Me. We sing it a lot of times before bed. We sing it in the car on one of his cds. We sing it while watching one of his dvds. And on this particular day he crawled up to the piano to sing it with Mimi!
It touches my heart to hear him sing along such a simple promise that Jesus loves Simon!

Winter Activities
We had one random days of snow back in October and haven't had any since then! We've been fortunate to have a pretty mild winter and have been able to get outside quite a bit. However the past week it finally decided to be winter and I really prefer not to spend more time in the cold than I have to! So we've been trying to get creative at home!
I love finding Simon looking at books by himself - so cute to hear him "reading" them!

Buddies!
These two are such good buddies! I really enjoy watching them do boy stuff together or share some cereal! Good thing they love each other because I am going away for a girls scrapbooking weekend and the boys are going to hold down the fort!
And looking at these pictures makes me excited to have our little girl so she and I can do fun girl stuff together someday too!

The Christmas Outtake
Oh the Christmas season has come and gone just like that but the below picture still just makes me laugh! It was the Sunday before Christmas and since our church decided not to hold services on Christmas Day we were dressed in our Christmas outfits. For me that was a pair of non-maternity pants I could still squeeze into and a pair that matched a black sweater! Chris was instructed to wear something that blended with black and matched Simon's vest since (let's be honest) Simon was the only one who was bought an article of clothing for Christmas!!
We got home from church and I made clear instructions to head directly to the living room so I could set up the camera and get our photo in front of our (gaudy) tree. (Do you see those BIG TACKY COLORED BULBS?!!!) Anyway, the dog was not really invited into the picture but he still thinks he's a vital part of the family so at the last second decided to join in! The camera clicked at the funniest moment and Simon's expression fully describes how he feels about Bernie being that close to his face (without Simon initiating)! CLASSIC.
Glad we got a few pics of our last Christmas as a family of 3...yes, I got emotional about this! But I got emotional two years ago when it was my last Christmas with just Chris and I! They just keep getting better!
